Half centuries from Oliver Topping and Zac Solomon propelled Campbell College into the semi-finals of the Schools Cup after a convincing 118-run win over Methodist College Belfast.

Topping top scored with a fluent 64, while Solomon made an excellent 59 and Matthew Cherry an unbeaten 36 in a Campbell total of 217 for 4 in their 30 overs.

Methody's chase never really gained any sort of momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals with two wickets apiece for Dan and Zac Solomon, Carson McCullough, Harry Dyer and Ethan Biggerstaff.

Matthew Humphreys (28) and Adam Kennedy (21) their only major contributors in a total of 99.

Campbell College will take on RBAI Second XI in the first semi-final on Friday, while RBAI and Wallace High School meet in the other half on Monday.
