The first two trophies of the season will be handed out this weekend in the NCU with the big one on Sunday after the final of the Lagan Valley Steels T20 Cup at The Lawn.

It’s semi-final day tomorrow and if CIYMS are to complete a hat-trick of wins in the competition, they will have to be the first team to beat Civil Service North this season, when the teams meet at Stormont.

Carrickfergus, who have not been in the T20 final since the first one back in 2005, finished in second place after the group stages so get the other home draw against surprise semi-finalists Lisburn who overtook both Waringstown and North Down with wins in their last two games.

The first final of the season is the LVS T20 Bowl and Drumaness Superkings have home advantage against Victoria after winning last week’s group match between the remaining two unbeaten teams by 76 runs.
