Gareth Delany, Matt Ford and Theo Dempsey have been named in the Munster Reds squad for their clash with Leinster Lightning at Sydney Parade on Thursday.

The three are named in a squad of 13, while Curtis Campher and Cormac McLoughlin-Gavin are missing from the team that lost two weeks ago against the Warriors at Eglinton.

The inclusion of Delany is a welcome boost after Campher was ruled out as he is having ankle surgery.

Malahide batsman Matt Ford joins his brother Greg in the team, preferred to Hills' batsman Cormac McLoughlin Gavin, who made 36 in the opening game.

Top scorer Murray Commins is included in the squad despite his playing registration being turned down by the NCU.

Theo Dempsey of Phoenix is a promising fast bowler, although he must be rated a long shot to be in the playing XI.

Plays gets under way at 10:45am and the game will be live-scored on CricketEurope.
