There was action in the NCU Women’s Premier League with two games getting played.

Muckamore won by seven wickets thanks to an outstanding 70 run partnership between Nikki Niblock – 39 not out – and Suzy Keates 30 not out – as they chased down 92 to beat Waringstown.

Lawn skipper Charlotte Lyons took two wickets and top scored with 37 in a losing cause, while their was two wickets in the Muckamore bowling for Fiona Murray.

In the other game North Down were also seven wicket winners as they chased 125 to beat Lurgan. Sophie Hinds 55 not out – and Sam Todd 37 helped Lurgan to 124 for 3.

It looked a challenge in tough conditions but Natasha Morton’s unbeaten 50 together with Ali Millar’s 24 not out sealed the win.
