Four new faces arrive at Stormont, but that is offset by the loss of the experienced duo of James Kennedy and Graeme McCarter.
While they don't have an overseas professional per se, Luke Georgeson is an Irish passport holding New Zealander who comes with an impressive pedigree, and has been included in the Northern Knights core squad.
Also in the Knights set-up is Ireland Wolves leg-spinner Ben White who has moved to Belfast from Phoenix, and is another who could really set the Premier League alight this season.
Ben Mackey has joined from Armagh, while Lewis Adair makes the short journey from Woodvale.
There is also a very strong youth culture at the club with the quintet named above are 'all outstanding cricketers but it remains to be seen at the minute if they are ready for first team cricket' according to club captain Gary Wilson.
"Losing Graeme McCarter and James Kennedy will be a loss for us undoubtedly but it may just give some of those younger players an opportunity to see if they are ready," added Wilson.
"Luke Georgeson joins from New Zealand and he is a quality performer, with Ben White, Lewis Adair and Ben Mackey all adding quality and depth to the squad.
