The inaugural Emerging Interprovincial tournament will start at the end of June, with 20 games scheduled between the five teams in a four-week period.

Ireland U19s will compete alongside Lightning Bolts, Munster Heat, Emerging Warriors and Emerging Knights in both 50-over and T20 formats.

The first game of the new competition will see the Bolts taking on the U19s on Monday June 28th.

Ireland Under 19 captain Tim Tector

All the sides will play four T20s and four 50-over games, providing a nice mix of white-ball cricket.

The eight matches for Ireland Under 19s will provide excellent competitive action for Ryan Eagleson's 'Boys In Green' ahead of the their World Cup qualifying tournament in Scotland which begins at the end of July.

Tim Tector will lead the side as they hope to gain a qualifying place for the tournament proper in the West Indies in 2022.
