Limerick, Newbuildings, North Down and YMCA have been shortlisted for the Club of the Year in the Cricket Ireland awards.

The clubs were nominated by their respective Unions in the category where work off the field is equally as important as success on it.

Limerick won five trophies including their first senior trophy in 13 years, and have started construction of major facilities at their base in Adare.

Another club who have been carrying out ground improvements are Newbuildings who tasted success with their first win in the Faughan Valley Cup.

YMCA clinched their first All-Ireland crown as they beat Donemana in the T20 showdown and were the Leinster nominee.

North Down's success in the Robinson Services League saw them given the nod by the NCU.

The winner will be announced on Friday at the awards ceremony.
