Mark Coles has been appointed Head Coach of Scotland Women.

The New Zealander takes over at the helm from Steve Knox, who held the role for five years on a part-time basis.

Coles is the first full-time Head Coach appointed to the role in what will be a crucial year for the Scots, who host the T20 World Cup European qualifiers and will be also hoping to qualify for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

He has a wide portfolio of experience in a variety of coaching and developmental roles, with his most high profile appointment a successful two-year spell as Head Coach of Pakistan Women.
