Scotland today ensure that they ended their European Womenís T20 World Cup Qualifier campaign unbeaten after recording a straightforward win over France today in La Manga.

Put in to bat, France had crawled to 14 without loss when drinks were taken after the conclusion of the tenth over. From then though it was a procession as France lost all their wickets for just 10 runs in 7.4 overs. Eight bowlers were used by Scotland but the pick of the bunch was Megan McColl who took five wickets for just 3 runs, the first five wicket haul for Scotland in womenís T20Is.

There was a brief flurry of wickets in the Scottish innings as they lost three for two runs within four balls. But Scotland were otherwise untroubled as they won by seven wickets in 2.2 overs.

Scotland then will be delighted with their performance in the tournament, though they are likely to face some much tougher opposition in the global qualifier.

For France, it hasnít been a great tournament from a results perspective, though they have played all their games in a great spirit and they were a delight to watch during the brief flurry of wickets they took today. They certainly werenít helped by some testing conditions, but will have learned some valuable lessons.
