CIYMS kept the pressure on Premier League leaders Waringstown with a 70 runs (DLS) victory over Carrickfergus yesterday, after Saturday’s four Premier League games were washed out.

They will now be rearranged as 20-over matches, the first of those taking place tonight when Waringstown host Lisburn (5pm).

The battle to get into the top flight next season continued yesterday with Derriaghy crashing to a third successive defeat and being joined in second place, four points behind leaders Cliftonville Academy by Cregagh who beat Bangor by nine wickets.
