The four match Interprovincial U11 series between the Northern Cricket Union and the Leinster Cricket Union got under way at Shaw's Bridge today (Tuesday) following the wash-out of Match 1 at Ring Commons on Monday.

Leinster batted first in today's game scoring 127 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted thirty overs.

Callum Armstrong, son of former International Conor, top scored with 39, while Ted Hasler and Ryan Keenan chipped in with twenties while for the home side Marko Bates took two wickets and Josh Parker and Cameron Wiilliams one each.

It was an all-round performance by Armstrong that helped Leinster to their win as he claimed 4-25 to add to his top score while Eli Clarke's two wickets came at no cost whatsoever.

The NCU took it to the final over before they were bowled out for 99 still 29 runs short of victory, Jack Robinson their top scorer with 19 and Luke Crothers 16.

Match 3 is scheduled for Ring Commons on Thursday 12th. and the sides will be back at Shaw's Bridge for Match 4 on Friday 13th.
