Concerns in the Afghan media over the three World Cup Super League games between Ireland and Afghanistan appear to be unfounded after Cricket Ireland confirmed the dates and venue were unchanged from last months announcement.

Reports that the ACB and ICC were looking to switch the matches to Oman due to visa restrictions in the midst of Covid-19 would appear to have been a contingency measure.

The matches are due to be played in Abu Dhabi on January 18th. 21st and 23rd.

In other news, CI confirmed the all-clear has been given for training to resume for Ireland's squads after a Covid test arranged on Monday returned a negative result.
