Ireland Women will travel to Scotland next August in the first stage of their attempt to qualify for the 2023 T20 World Cup in South Africa.
The Girls in Green will face the hosts, Netherlands, Germany, France and Turkey in the six team qualifiers which take place between August 26th and 30th.
There are no reserve days in place for the event, and only the winners will progress to the next qualifiers, which will be held in 2022.
While Scotland and The Netherlands are familiar opponents for the Irish, they have never played an emerging German side, nor newcomers France and Turkey.
The Irish will be keen to get some competitive action under their belts, having last taken the field 16 months ago.
They had been due to play Scotland in Spain this month but that fell through when their opponents withdrew at the last minute.
Ireland are also scheduled to play in a 50-over World Cup qualifying competition in Sri Lanka next year, so it promises to be a critical year if all goes ahead.
