Tom Sole has joined Oxford Downs CC. who play in Division Two of the Home Counties Premier League.

The 24 year-old was released earlier this year by Northants.

All-rounder Sole was reported as having a suspect action by ICC during the 2019 T20 World Cup qualifers.

His action had been cleared the previous year after being reported by the umpires during their controversial clash with West Indies in the World Cup qualifiers.

"We are thrilled to announce the signing of Scotland International Tom Sole for the 2021 Season," said the club on their Twitter account.

"Tom has just come off three years with the Northants Steelbacks performing for them in List A Cricket as well as T20 Blast Matches .

"Tom is very skilled at all three facets of the game and is going to be a key member for our campaign. We welcome Tom with open arms and look forward to the next step in our journey!"

Sole, son of former Scotland international rugby international David, has played 10 ODIs and 9 ODI's since his debut in 2018.
