Merrion have signed Stephen Doheny from Rush.
The 22 year-old has been a prolific scorer for the Kenure club, scoring 3403 runs at an average of 40.04, including four hundreds and 21 half centuries.
He has been remarkably consistent in recent times, averaging above 50 in three of the last four years.

Doheny is a genuine all-rounder, not only bowling off-spin but also keeping wickets.
He has also played 28 times at interprovincial level - 20 with Leinster Lightning and 8 with Munster Reds, scoring 600 runs at exactly 25, with four fifties.
He has played for both Ireland Under 19s and Ireland A, and was drafted into the senior Ireland squad earlier this year for their T20I series against Afghanistan in India.
His capture is a great boost for Merrion but will be a real blow for Rush, being a product of their much vaunted youth set-up which has enjoyed so much success in recent years.
