PAUL Stirling will resume his T20 globe-trotting next month after being drafted by the Dambulla Hawks for the inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League.

The tournament was due to start on November 14 but has been pushed back a week to allow for the compulsory 14-day quarantine process in Sri Lanka for all foreign players.

It is a five-team tournament, to be played in two grounds, in Kandy and Hambantota, although Stirling will not be involved in the later stages of the tournament if Irelandís proposed series in the UAE goes ahead in December. The LPL final is set for December 13.

The other overseas players picked by Dambulla in yesterdayís draft are Englandís Samit Patel, South African David Millar and the star of West Indies World T20 success in 2016, Carlos Brathwaite.
