Dublin YMCA claimed their first All-Ireland title in dramatic fashion at Belmont this afternoon after a stunning comeback saw off Donemana in the final of this year's national T20 competition.

Chasing 132 to win the North West cup winners were coasting on 88-2 before a stunning collapse saw them lose seven wickets for the addition of just 10 runs.

It had all appeared pretty straightforward for William McClintock's side as he and twin brother Gary put together a 64-run stand for the third wicket.

William's 41 contained a four and four sixes - one of which off Simi Singh cleared the tennis courts - while his brother made a more composed 19 before Curtis Campher (2-11) turned the match on it's head by removing them both in the 15th over.

After that, Simi Singh (3-30) who had earlier come in for some tap from the Donemana skipper and Cillian McDonnell (2-16) blew away the rest of the batting order as the reply ended on 102-9.

Teenager McDonnell in particular bowled a crucial spell and came into the judges reckoning for the Man-of-the-Match accolade.

There was no doubt about the champagne moment - Harry Tector's spectacular catch at long-off, parrying a powerful blow the ever dangerous Dwayne McGerrigle and leaping full length to grab it at the second attempt.

Curtis Campher's effort running back at long off almost matched in terms of stunning quality, while JJ Cassidy behind the stumps deserves credit for the catch of William McClintock.

Earlier, a superb 62 from Jack Tector (6 fours and 2 sixes) looked to have set the Leinster side on their way to a huge first innings total before Dwayne McGerrigle (4-15), Andy McBrine (2-24) and Jordan McGonigle (2-25) hauled their team right back into it.

Tector's knock was ultimately the difference between the teams, and got him the nod in the MOM verdict.

YM's next highest score after him was Singh's 15 as they posted a modest 131-9 having been put in to bat.

In the end however it was to be enough as the southerners got over the line comfortably to celebrate their inaugural All-Ireland success.

They are back in action on Sunday at Belmont as they take on CIYMS for the right to be Ireland's representative at the European League next April in La Manga.
