Ollie Hairs was certainly a man in a hurry as he helped Scotland A to a clean sweep of wins against the Performance Academy this week.

Having made 37 in a five wicket win in a 50-overs contest on Wednesday, the 29 year-old was at his belligerent best in two T16 matches at The Grange.

He bludgeoned 11 sixes and 9 fours in a brutal assault on the beleaguered Academy bowlers, making 114 from just 33 deliveries!

That helped his side to 206 for 4 before rain cut short their innings.  Ali Evans then took four wickets in a 125-run (DLS) win.

The second contest was even more emphatic as half centuries from Craig Wallace and Michael Leask set up Hairs for more pyrotechnics.

He smote another 7 sixes and 3 fours in his 68 not out from 25 balls as they piled on the runs - 212 for 4.

Gavin Main then took four wickets as the shell-shocked Academy managed just 73.

Plenty of food for thought then for the selectors ahead of the Regional Series.
