A Dutch T20 Cup game was abandoned following an incident between two players.

Rod Lyall, reported on Emerging Cricket of the altercation in the game between Hermes-DVS and Punjab.

A disputed catch behind led to what can be described as a frank exchange of views between the keeper and the batsman, which reportedly turned even more franker!

The umpires intervened and sent both players from the field, with the police also being called.

No police action was taken on their arrival but Hermes refused to take the field again and the game was abandoned.

The KNCB will now have to deal with the fall-out from the game, having been passed the umpires' report into the matter.
