It's tight at the top of the Women's League in the NW after Eglinton beat Fox Lodge to join the Ballymagorry side at the summit.

Despite being missing a few key players Fox Lodge thanks to top scorer Mollie Devine and 28 extras scored 70 in their 16 overs.

Rea Moore (2-17) and Alice McLaughlin (2-13) were best with the ball for the Villagers.

Despite the early loss of Rea Moore in the reply, a second wicket stand of 54 between Zara Craig (20) and Ariana McKenna (34) ensured Eglinton sealed a seven wicket win in the penultimate over.

The sides have to play each other again in a rearranged match with the winners topping the league.

The NW have decided that there will be no trophy or medals for the league winners, Instead the four sides who are playing this year will play a T10 competition with the draw depending on their league position.
