Leinster Lightning have been forced to make several changes to their squad which faces Munster Reds in their T20 opener at Pembroke tomorrow.
Andrew Balbirnie will skipper the side in the absence of George Dockrell who has examinations, while Barry McCarthy and Matt Ford also miss out.
McCarthy is continuing his recuperation from an injury sustained during the series against England, while Matt Ford has a knee injury.
Matt is replaced by his brother Greg, while Rush skipper Stephen Doheny is drafted in.
Balbirnie and Gareth Delany are only playing in the first game before they fly to England to play in the T20 Blast with Glamorgan and Leicestershire.
We acknowledge the great opportunity for Bal (Balbirnie), and Gaz (Delany), and wish them well," said Lightning Head Coach Nigel Jones.
"As a result, however, we can welcome back a young, talented player in a rich vein of form in Stephen Doheny and we are delighted to have him on board.
