CSNI and Waringstown will meet in the final of the NCU Women's Cup after semi-final wins against Lurgan and Muckamore.

At The Lawn, Waringstown had it all to do after a below par bowling display saw them chase down a tough target of 137 set by Muckamore.

Charlotte Lyons was the home side hero, scoring an unbeaten 43, displaying her full repertoire of strokes in an excellent innings.

She received valuable support from Mollie Mathers (21) who struck two crucial boundaries as the chase looked like stalling following an excellent spell from Nicki Niblock (2-12).

Muckamore battled bravely, but bowled too many wides as Waringstown sealed the win in the 19th over.

Earlier in the Muckamore innings, Joanne Logan (32) showed her strength striking four boundaries, while Amy Caufield (29) scored all around the wicket.

They too were helped by Waringstown's profligacy with the ball, their total boosted by 51 extras.

Waringstown will be boosted by the return of Irish international Cara Murray, who will be back from injury for the decider in two weeks' time, where they will face holders CSNI.

The Stormont side beat Lurgan by five wickets in a closely-fought affair.

Sarah McCallan (28), Sophie Hinds (25*) and Emma McMurray (21) saw the hosts post 113 for 2 at Pollock Park.

Sophie Thomas led the reply with a brilliant 44, and with Sarah Rountree hitting an undefeated 25 got over the line despite a slight wobble.

The final will be played on Sunday August 30th at a venue still to be determined.
