Killyclooney stunned Donemana with a historic first senior win over their illustrious opponents in their rearranged T20 Championship game on Tuesday night.
Chasing 165 Darren Moan (27) and his brother Giles (27) ensured the hosts kept up with the rate in an opening stand of 50 in five overs.
Alan Colhoun hit three sixes in a quickfire 30, and despite a little wobble as they lost three wickets for 11 runs, Tim Dougherty's powerful unbeaten 37 got his side over the line with 1 ball and four wickets to spare.
That win had looked far away when Donemana batted as an early blitzkrieg by skipper William McClintock who hit hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in a 11-ball 38 saw 50 on the board in the third over.
Gary McClintock hit 8 fours and 2 sixes as he top-scored with 66, but Killyclooney pulled it back well in the final stages, with Jordan Nelson (2-25) and Jordan Connor (2-29) picking up two wickets apiece.
Donemana remain top of the table depsite the loss, and it could well boil down to the final group game when the sides meet again at The Holm on August 22nd with a senior cup semi-final place on the line.
