Carrickfergus have pulled off a major coup with the signing of Scottish international George Munsey.
The 27 year-old is a T20 specialist, and boasts an impressive 29.90 average at a strike rate over 154 in the 38 T20 internationals he has played since his debut at Bready five years ago.
The left-hander is available due to the lack of cricket in Scotland and England.
Munsey has an incredible reputation in the short format and his inclusion will see Carrick now emerge as serious contenders for silverware.
They start their campaign on Saturday with an away day trip to North Down, who will be without the services of their Irish internationals Craig Young and Paul Stirling.
