It's a landmark year for the famous Dublin University club who are celebrating their 200th year anniversary.
The club's celebrations were put on hold due to the delayed start to the campaign, but now that cricket in Ireland has been given the green light, skipper Michael Hogan is looking forward to some tough action.
"We're very excited for the season ahead and playing against some really challenging opposition," he began.
"Prior to the government restrictions being imposed, we had put some great training plans in place with our new player/coach Nigel Jones. It's a shame that we weren't able to fully execute on these - but the situation was out of our hands and we're delighted that we'll get to play at all this season as it was looking doubtful during the early stages of Covid-19.
"We've some great new and existing members of the squad. Nic Pretorious has joined and will be keeping wicket alongside batting in the top order with Danny Hogan and myself.
"Diarmuid Tucker, Max Neville, Milo Egan and Sanil Gupta also return and are now taking up more senior roles in the squad as they move through Trinity.
"Rory Betley (Middlesex U19's and Guernsey Underage International) and Ben McCloud (Scotland Underage International) have just started their academic careers in Trinity and we are looking forward to having them back in the squad - both are definitely names to keep an eye on over the next number of seasons.
"There has been a lot of work/investment in to the club and I'd like to thank Conor Hoey, Keith Synnott, Ger Siggins and Jim Walsh of the Alumni committee who have supported the club throughout the year.
"This is the early stages in a new chapter for Dublin University Cricket Club/Trinity Cricket and I've no doubt that this season, will illustrate the hard work and commitment of all squad members throughout the year.
"It's also the 200th anniversary of cricket being played at college park and we look forward to being able to celebrate this milestone at some point over the coming weeks."
They begin with away day trips to Phoenix (July 18), Merrion (25th), North Kildare (August 8th), and finish with home games against Rush (15th), Leinster (22nd) and Pembroke (29th).
