Waringstown have Lee Nelson at the helm as the Lawn side look to get back in the hunt for silverware.

The club enjoyed an incredible trophy laden 2018, but CIYMS were undoubtedly the team of 2019, and it will be a tough job for Nelson to knock them off their perch.

Returning to the club are Morgan Topping and Aaron Wright, both from CSNI.

"I'm very much looking forward to finally getting the season going," said Nelson.

"Itís obviously been a strange time for everyone but Iím hoping now that we have a finalised structure and fixtures in place we can try our utmost to make the most of the situation and what we have left of the summer.

"We welcome back two young guys in Morgan and Arny. Both left and went on to play for the Knights at certain stages and Iím glad to have them back.

"Morgan for me now has to really kick on and will be my one to watch.

"This season may well throw up more opportunities for the younger guys so Iím looking for them to put their hand up and cement a regular place going into next year and beyond. That for our club is crucial.

"We have also had Jack Carson home from Sussex for our pre-season so far and hopefully we will get to see him in action at some stage this summer."

Waringstown begin their season on July 18th with an away game at Instonians, before hosting traditional rivals North Down the following week.
