Jamie Grassi has confirmed he's leaving North County, making the switch to Phoenix.

The 21 year-old has played 112 senior games for the Balrothery side, scoring 2634 runs at an average of 28.32, which includes three hundreds and 14 fifties.

"I'm going to Phoenix to change it up a bit for myself and try something new outside of my comfort zones," Grassi told CricketEurope.

"I needed a new challenge and to open up my mind."

Phoenix skipper Adam Chester was delighted at the signing.

"Obviously we are thrilled to have a player of Jamie’s calibre join Phoenix.

"He’ll add a huge amount to an already very exciting squad."

Grassi is a former Ireland U19 international having played at the 2018 Under 19 World Cup, and also played interprovincial cricket for both Leinster Lightning and Munster Reds.

His first appearance will be against Dublin University when the Leinster season gets under way on July 18th.
