• Captain: Stephen Hutchinson
  • Overseas: Graham Hume
  • Players in: David Cooke, Will Smale, Gareth Burns,

The Bannsiders are the only team who will have their overseas player available to them this season; highly rated Graham Hume now living here on his qualification path to hopefully playing for Ireland in the not too distant future.

Club captain Stephen Hutchinson admits that having the South African in his ranks could be important if matches are getting tight, but insisted that it wouldn't be the be all end all.

"His quality and experience could be the difference when the going gets tough, however Brigade won the double last year without an overseas pro.

"It's been a strange sort of build up for me personally as I'm not a massive fan of T20 cricket, however it has been difficult not to get caught up in the buzz around the club.

"We've been training hard since we got the go-ahead and the boys can't wait to get started. The fact that we're involved in the first game on the Friday night at home to Ballyspallen is a great boost and we're really looking forward to it.

"In fairness the T20 format gives everybody a chance and there's the potential for plenty of surprises.

"On our team front, David Cooke is back at the club and he gives our top order a solid look. Will Smale is set to come in next month as well and that gives our batting order a really strong look.

"Gareth Burns is back too and I think it's fair to say that after a quiet few months we're definitely raring to go."
