Leinster cricket's return moved a step closer with the news released by the Irish givernment this afternoon that from next week groups of 15 will be allowed to train.
That is of course with the proviso that no contact is allowed and social distancing must be maintained at all times.
There is however a number of steps that Irish cricket clubs must go through in addition with an insistence that a club designated Covid officer is trained and appointed as well as having appropriate equipment and signage amongst other things.
A Cricket Ireland release on Thursday reminded clubs that these have to be undertaken before actual training can commence.
It's expected this will be completed in the next week.
The make-up of the Leinster season is still to be officially confirmed, but clubs are keen for as much cricket to be played when they get under way hopefully in late July.
