Nic Pretorius has confirmed he'll be starting the 2020 season with Trinity.

The interprovincial wicket-keeper batsman will be a strong addition to the Dublin University side, who last month announced the appointment of Nigel Jones as a player-coach.

"I've been extremely privileged to have represented two top clubs within Leinster Cricket since 2012, The Hills CC and Phoenix CC, I now have the chance to do so with a third," Pretorius told CricketEurope.

"Trinity College is a special spot with a cricket field in the heart of the hustle and bustle. It is an absolute pleasure to be part of DUCC and the university itself. I've been attending a Dutch Language evening course since January and will be looking to further my education through the University in the foreseeable future.

"From a cricketing point of view, I'm excited to see what we can achieve as a squad with Jonesy running the boys through their paces. I want to enjoy my cricket and hopefully help us win some cricket matches."

He is still undecided where he will play the second half of the campaign once Trinity's season concludes at the end of May.
