Ireland Women will participate in a Quadrangular Series with Zimbabwe, The Netherlands and hosts Thailand in early April.

The games will see them play each other twice in 50-over contests as part of their preparation for the 50-overs World Cup Qualifiers in Sri Lanka in July for places at the World Cup proper in New Zealand next year.

The tournament will take place in Northern Thailand in Chang Mai, and was announced by Zimbabwe on their Twitter account.

The fixtures are certainly just what the doctor ordered as Ed Joyce's charges look to get some much needed match practice.

It will be seven months since the Girls in Green last played a competitive game, while you have to go back to June 2018 for their last 50-over match.

The missed out on T20 World Cup qualification to Thailand who are making their tournament debut today (SAT) in Australia.
