Talented player-coach Barry Scott has launched a new coaching venture which aims to help clubs and communities throughout the NW and beyond.

33 year-old Scott has gained a wealth of playing experience at senior level across Northern Ireland with Strabane, Sion Mills, Fox Lodge and Muckamore, and has been an integral part of the coaching structure at Ireland U13 level.

His new business has seen him set up Barry Scott Cricket Coaching (BSCC), which offers a variety of cricket coaching opportunities for children and adults.

BSCC’s most popular offerings include holiday camps, which run for 3-5 days from 10am-4pm, with early drop off/late pick up options at a variety of venues in the local area.

Courses are led by Barry’s professionally qualified ECB coaching staff, and include batting, bowling, fielding and wicket keeping skills, plus games, competitions and prizes. BSCC also offer individual 1:1 cricket lessons, as well as club and schools coaching, seeing hundreds of young local players on a weekly basis, including coaching at affiliated clubs.

He is currently working with one of the regions newest and fastest growing clubs Newbuildings, where he is helping with their blossoming youth section.

"Our professional staff are passionate about cricket coaching and are dedicated to meeting the needs of every individual we work with," said Scott.

"Improvement is inevitable when in a fun, safe and competitive environment, and we strive to maximise any individual’s potential, from beginner to advanced."

Barry is keen to cater for all levels from junior right through to senior, easing the pressure on clubs and helping them grow a win/win situation.
