Leading Irish official Roly Black has impressed at the ongoing U19 World Cup.
The Bready man was in the middle for Tuesday's semi-final clash between tournament favourites India and Pakistan.
The 48 year-old former opening bowler is the only Irish representative at the 16-team competition.
Earlier in the tournament he was tv umpire when Afghanistan were involved in a controversial 'Mankading' incident in their loss to Pakistan.
Black had no option but to rule in favour of the Afghan appeal as the Pakistan batsman had strayed out of his ground.
Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie paid tribute to Black on Twitter saying: "Great to see Roly Black umpire in the U19 World Cup semi-final. Very well deserved."
India will play the winners of the other semi-final between New Zealand and Bangladesh in South Africa this weekend.
