Talented all-rounder Joey Carroll is leaving The Hills, with the amount of travelling cited as the main reason.

The 28 year-old has enjoyed a stellar career in Dublin, playing for Leinster between 2011 and 2018, before switching to The Hills last year.

He has scored over 4000 runs averaging 33.93, with 20 fifties and four hundreds.

His medium pace has also collected 266 wickets at 16.52, with his best-bowling being a seven wicket haul against Pembroke. (Source: Cricket Leinster Statszone).

He wasn't as prolific at Milverton, but still collected 21 wickets and scored 363 runs.

It promises to be a transitional season at the club, with Daya Singh being replaced as overseas player by the promising Ryan Hackney, while Greg Lamb will also be missing.

The club are still hopeful of acquiring quality replacements as they once again challenge for major honours in the tough world of Leinster cricket.
