THE Ireland squad for the T20 Tri-Series with Netherlands and Scotland will be chosen this week after an intensive five-day training camp in Dublin.

The games, to be played at Malahide next week, are the start of the build-up to the T20 World Cup qualifiers in UAE next month.

Head coach Graham Ford called in 25 players to the camp, which includes four or five behind closed doors matches between themselves, to give the Ireland selectors a last chance to view the contenders for the squad of 15 which, almost certainly, will then go on to a five-team tournament in Oman and the Qualifiers.

Paul Stirling was the only squad member not involved in the camp and four others were released yesterday to play in the Leinster Premier League Grand Final when Pembroke followed up their Irish Cup success with a thrilling one wicket victory over Merrion.
