The rain totally wiped out the entire NW programme last Saturday which means Strabane's fate has been put back to this weekend, when they take on the champions Brigade at Strabane Park.

The Red Caps currently occupy the bottom slot and anything less than a win will see them drop into the Championship.

As is always the case, it's a time for much reflection, and if they are relegated then they will look back to defeats against Ballyspallen when chasing just 70, and also against Brigade at Beechgrove when they let the champions off the hook.

Ireland A international Aaron Gillespie knows it's very much last chance saloon and says the club will be giving it their all in the crucial clash.

"We know what has to be done, so we need to go out and put everything on the line and fight for the win as it could be the difference to where we play our cricket next year.

"We just have to back our own ability we know we can do it as it showed the previous game against them where we threw it away and should’ve come out on top. Having them 110 or so for 7 needing another 100 runs it should have been game over, but they showed their strength in depth.

"We will be at full strength for the game, so hopefully we will get the victory we need."

If teams finish level on points, net run rate will decide the final places and Coleraine currently have the best of the bottom four and Glendermott comfortably the worst. Heading into the last round of games the points are Ballyspallen 109, Glendermott 108, Coleraine 106 and Strabane 93.
