Waringstown's Irish Senior Cup hopes have been dealt a major blow with the news that James McCollum will miss Saturday's decider against Pembroke.

According to a report by Alistair Bushe in the News Letter, The 24 year-old has a shoulder injury which rules him out of the game at The Hills.

McCollum is a major player for the Mid-Ulster side and his absence will hamper their hopes of sealing a third consecutive success.

Although Pembroke have never lifted the Bob Kerr trophy they look the strongest of the two teams on paper with an international quartet of Andrew Balbirnie, Josh Little, Lorcan Tucker and Barry McCarthy.

They also have former Waringstown professional Shaheen Khan as their overseas player.

Action at Milverton gets underway at 11.30am and you can follow the game live on www.cricketeurope.com.
