Yorkshire and Cornwall will face each other in a winner take all clash at Woodvale following decisive wins against hosts NCU and Southern Kings.

The NCU found themselves in early trouble against Yorkshire as they slumped to 36 for 7.

Zak Solomon top scored with 21 as he and Hugh Minford (20) set about repairing the damage with an 8th wicket stand of 34.

Werner Beukes was yet again among the wickets as he picked up 3 for 17, while Lewis Lomax took 3 for 16, Jake Marshall 2 for 24 and Jay Marshall 1-17 as the NCU were dismissed for 97.

The modest total proved no trouble for Yorkshire as Jack Riley and James Rhodes knocked off the runs without loss in the 27th over.

Riley hit six boundaries in his unbeaten 46, while Rhodes' 36 included four fours,

Cornwall defeated the Southern Kings at Campbell College, but only after being given a scare.

Excellent bowling by Luke O'Reilly (4-27), Max Egan (2-27) and Conor O'Brien (2-27) had Cornwall in trouble at 107 for 8.

However Harry Matthews scored a valuable 43 as he and Lewis Dee (13*) got the total up to 161.

There were also double figure contributions from Jacob Inch and Adam Snowdon who made 18 apiece, while Adam Thomas hit 15.

The Cornwall attack spearheaded by Alex Barrett (4-24) defended the total superbly as the Munster side were dismissed for 97.

Adam Snowdon's excellent all-round game saw him pick up 3 for 12, while there was a wicket apiece for Nathan Keevil, Connor Cooke and Freddie Ward.

Lorcan Woodhouse batted resolutely for his undefeated 25, while Matthew Brewster chipped in with 24, and Tom Hourihane 17.

It promised to be a fascinating clash between the evenly matched English sides to see who will lift the Agile Communications trophy.
