IT’S a scheduled blank Saturday in the Robinson Services Premier League next weekend – certain to be good weather! – because the second inter-provincial T20 festival takes place at Bready.

Northern Knights have a commanding lead in the table after winning all three games at the first festival in Pembroke in June, although only one of the other three games was actually completed, with Leinster Lightning beating Munster Reds.

So two more wins for Knights will give them the T20 crown for the first time – and only their second trophy since the inter-pros were revamped in 2013. They face Lightning in the first match on Friday morning at 11.30, with their last match against North West Warriors on Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock.

The Knights are also in the first match on Saturday, against Munster Reds, so will hoping to clinch the title before the last day’s action.
