IRELAND Women made a convincing start to the Quadrangular series in Deventer with a 79 runs win over hosts Netherlands.

Eimear Richardson, with 63 from 41 balls saw Ireland score 91 from the last 10 overs to finish on 169-5 and once debutant Orla Prendergast had opened the bowling with a maiden, the Dutch were always under pressure.
