Leah Paul's brilliant unbeaten hundred helped Ireland Women's Academy to an 148-run win against their Scottish counterparts at North County to level the three match series and set up a winner-takes-all clash at Phoenix today.

The Merrion left-hander batted throughout the Irish innings, hitting eight boundaries in her 110 not out, facing 135 balls. Paul was the first recipient of the Damian Poder Scholarship award which allowed her to spend the winter playing club cricket in Australia, which clearly benefitted her game.

The 19 year-old shared stands of 99 for the fifth wicket with Amy Hunter (49), and 82 for the sixth wicket with Sophie MacMahon (32) as the Girls In Green posted 281 for 8.

Abbi Aitken (3-48) was again the best of the Scottish attack, while there were also two wickets apiece for Abatha Maqsood (2-50) and Hannah Rainey (2-31).

Tuesday's centurion Sarah Bryce got off to a confident start, hitting 4 fours and a six in a quickfire 30, but her dismissal by the impressive Orla Prendergast (3-15) saw the visitors lose their way.

Two wickets apiece for Cara Murray, Alana Dalzell and Rachel Delaney, plus one for Amy Kenealy saw Scotland dismissed for 133 - Aitken providing some late resistance with an unbeaten 22.

All to play for then in Friday's decider at Phoenix Park.
