Ireland Women lost their third and final T20 game against England's Academy, suffering a 58-run defeat at Millfield School.
An opening stand of 115 between England's Maia Bouchier (61) and Georgie Byrne (51) meant the Irish were always on the back foot.
Hannah Little took three wickets as the Girls In Green clawed it back somewhat, but a final total of 162 for 6 was always likely to be a challenging one.
Gaby Lewis and Orla Prendergast got the Irish reply off to a brisk start in an opening stand of 67 to give them real hope.
Lewis stroked eight boundaries in a top score of 41 in 31 balls, with Prendergast hitting the innings only six and 4 fours in her 30 from 23 balls.
However, their dismissals saw the wheels fall off in spectacular fashion, the last nine wickets adding just 37 runs, with a succession of single figure scores.
Sarah Glenn and Sophia Dunkley took three wickets apiece as Ireland were bowled out in the final over for 104.
Much then for interim Head Coach Ed Joyce to ponder ahead of next month's crucial T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Scotland.
