Gareth Delany and Nathan McGuire both scored half centuries but Ireland Academy were heavily defeated by England U19s at Loughborough.
An opening stand of 195 between Dan Mousley and Tom Clark meant the Irish Academy were always playing catch up.
Warwickshire batsman Mousley hit 17 fours and 3 sixes in a brilliant 146, with Clark making 94 as England posted an imposing 372 for 5.
All the Irish attack came in for punishment, with Rory Anders (264), Nathan McGuire (1-51), Fionn Hand (1-66), and Graham Kennedy (1-68) the wicket takers.
Ireland were never in serious contention of chasing down the huge target, but there were encouraging knocks from teenager Nathan McGuire and Gareth Delany.
Rush opener McGuire hot 9 fours and a six in his 50 from 58 balls, while Leinster all-rounder Delany clubbed 4 sixes and 6 fours in a top score of 72 from 63 balls.
Tim Tector (32), Rory Anders (30) and Neil Rock (21) also chipped in as Ireland hit 257, losing by 115 runs.
