The CSNI teenager hit 12 fours and 4 sixes in his 118-ball innings, sharing stands of 116 for the sixth wicket with Ewan Wilson who made 64 and 70 for the third wicket with Michael Glass (41).

Wilson struck 6 fours and 2 sixes in his rapid 64 from just 48 balls as NCU racked up an imposing 342..

Luke O'Reilly (3-60) and Cian Egerton (2-54) were the best of the Munster attack.

Egerton top scored in the reply with an excellent 53, while there were also runs for Jack Buss (34*), Adam Ly (24) and Sunil Gautam (23) as they reached a respectable 183 for 9.

Ethan Hanna picked up 3 for 21, while there were two wickets apiece for Michael Glass, Adam Greer and Luke Allison.

Congratulations to Head Coach Andrew Cowden and his coaching team for an excellent win, vindicating the hard work being carried out in the region in recent years.

Leinster claimed second place after an emphatic 9-wicket win over the North West.

Aidan Logue with 46 got the NW off to a steady start before they lost their way.

It took a stand of 70 for the 7th wicket between Ben Mills (50) and Stuart Kenendy (27) to get them back on track, finishing on 177 all out.

Cillian McDonnell had the excellent analysis of 4 for 22, while there was also two wickets for Scott Ruttle.

Levi Dougherty struck an early blow for the NW, but Leinster eased to a 9-wicket win thanks to a superb partnership between Louis McDonough and Seamus Lynch  (pictured) of 144 for the second wicket.

Phoenix opener McDonough just missed out on a century, hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes in an unbeaten 97, and was well supported by Terenure's Lynch, whose 53 from 63 balls included 4 fours and 2 sixes.

It was an excellent display by a Leinster side shorn of six players who were included in the Ireland U19 training squad this week.

The attention now switches to T20, with the tournament getting under way on Tuesday with all sides playing two games.
