ITS a familiar line-up in the semi-finals of the NCU T20 Cup on Friday night with holders Waringstown facing North Down at Comber and CIYMS hosting Instonians.

The Waringstown-North Down semi-final which pairs the winners of one group against the runners-up in the area has been a recurring theme down the years with the Villagers on a winning run of four in the competition.

Chasing a fourth successive T20 triumph, Waringstown have beaten the Comber side in the final in the last two years and the semi-final in 2016.

They also won the semi-final in 2015, before losing to CIYMS in the final, when South Africa World Cup star Rassie van der Dussen scored 88.

Remarkably, the teams also met at the penultimate stage in the previous two years as well, both won by North Down
