Malahide's Matt Ford has been named in a 13-man squad for the T20 interpro weekend at Pembroke.
The South African - son of Ireland Head Coach Graham - qualifies for Ireland next year, and has been instrumental in Malahide's recent successes, along with pace bowler Peter Chase who is also included.
Josh Little returns from injury, and he is one of four Pembroke players in the squad along with Andy Balbirnie, Barry McCarthy and Lorcan Tucker.
Skipper George Dockrell has Rathmines colleague Gareth Delany in the ranks, while Rory Anders and Fionn Hand are also included.
Tyrone Kane (Merrion), Kevin O'Brien (Railway Union), and Simi Singh (Phoenix) complete the line-up.
The team will warm up before the interpros with a glamour fixture against a Middlesex side that contains Paul Stirling - a tie that has caught the imagination of the Leinster public with strong advance sales.
Lightning are the holders of the T20 competition, having won it in five of the six years held, the same as the other two formats, and will start strong favourites to make it six out of seven.
The T20's will be the first games in charge for new coach Nigel Jones who takes over from Albert van der Merwe after the Middlesex game.
