There will be 3 Leinster, 2 NCU, 2 NW and one Munster side in the last eight of the National Cup after seven of the eight ties were completed.

The Cregagh versus Derriaghy match was the only one that bit the dust and the replay will be at Queensway on June 30th.

Performance of the round goes to Midleton skipper Majid Khan who clubbed an incredible 19 sixes on his way to 178 as the Munster side chased down 263 to beat St Johnston by five wickets.

Michael Rankin's 96 and 54 from David MacBeth had taken the Donegal side to what looked a decent total at the halfway stage before Khan's belligerent innings.

Half centuries from Jack Webster and Sidharth Nair saw Terenure beat Downpatrick by 19 runs in a tight affair - Craig Boultwood's 74 not enough for the NCU side as they chased 240.

Giles Moan made an unbeaten 112 to help Killyclooney to 198 for 6 against Ardmore at the Bleachgreen. However Decker Curry made 92 not out - the weather denying him the chance to complete his 100th hundred - as he and Ryan Brolly (43*) shared a century stand to help Ardmore win by 30 runs (DLS).

Balbriggan made it through also on DLS, just edging it in a low scoring contest at North Kildare. Josh Newport took 4 for 25 as Kildare were dismissed for 138.. Balbriggan had reached 59 for 2 in 19 overs when play was halted - seven runs ahead on DLS.

Fox Lodge won a tight affair at Ballymena, thanks to 118 not out from Jason Milligan which saw the Ballymagorry side post 204.

John Glass with 80 and Kaushik Aphale (47) looked to be taking Ballymena to victory but four wicket from Aaron Heywood and three from Coenie Nel swung the game to the NW side.

Former Irish international Kenny Carroll hit 145 as Railway Union piled up 301 for 3 against Limerick. He shared a fourth wicket stand of 188 in 20.2 overs with South African student Chad Laycock who made 77.

Laycock then took three wickets as Limercik were restricted to 204 for 8 - Arslan Anwar hitting an unbeaten 108.

Templepatrick won by eight wickets in their NCU clash against Laurelvale.

David Sinton made 55 as Laurelvale scored 174, with John Busby and Ross Bryans taking three wickets apiece.

Bryans then hit an unbeaten 57 as Templepatrick chased down with ease.
