THE annual MCC visit to the NCU takes place this week but there are only three games instead of the normal four.

It begins on Tuesday with the game against the Ulster Schools at Osborne Park (11.30am) and is followed by two 50-over games at Middle Road, Carrickfergus against Emerging Knights, changed from a two-day game in the original schedule.

There are only three NCU players in the MCC squad this year – Matthew Foster, James Metcalfe and Ruari Willis – with Eoghan Delany, Michael Hogan, Fiachra Tucker and Patrick Tice from Leinster also selected. The remaining players are from England.

David Delany, who would have been eligible to play in both teams has missed out on selection as he is still injured, while Marcus O’Riordan was also due to play but he has left Muckamore.

**Update** Carrickfergus ground unplayable. Alternative venue being sought.
