Daya Singh's excellent season continued as he led The Hills to yet another win to keep their place at the top of the Premiership table.

The all-rounder marshalled the lower order expertly as they edged home by two wickets in the final overs to deny a YMCA side who had rallied superbly earlier in the day from a seemingly hopeless situation.

Chasing 185, Cormac MacLoughlin-Gavin made a patient 40, but three wickets apiece for James Parkinson and Rory Anders had the game in the balance, before Singh ensured the points with a superb unbeaten 69.

Earlier Singh, Naz Shoukat and Tomas Rooney-Murphy were all in the wickets as YMCA floundered at 26/5, 46/6 and 85 for 7, before launching a counter-attack.

Parkinson clubbed five sixes in a whirlwind 42, while Bobby Gamble hit 61 and Rory Anders 30 to get them to 184.

A fine effort, but in the end not enough to deny The Hills' juggernaut.

The weather meant the other three Premiership games fell by the wayside with no play in the matches between Phoenix v Merrion, Leinster v Rush and Malahide v Pembroke.
