Muckamore claimed a thrilling seven-run win to eliminate CSNI from the Lagan Valley Steels T20 Cup.

Batting first the Moylena side slipped to 41 for 4 at the half-way stage but an enterprising stand of 76 in 59 balls by Sam Gordon (46) and Steve Lazars (37) helped them recover to post 123 for 5.

Gary Wilson (43) and Andre Malan (31) looked to be steering the Stormont side to victory but they lost their way somewhat as Adey and Khartik claimed two wickets apiece to seal the win.

Muckamore must now beat North Down, and hope CSNI defeat Instonians for them to progress.

North Down have already qualified as Group winners and are guaranteed a home draw in the semi-finals.

In Group A, CIYMS were emphatic eight-wicket winners at Carrickfergus to keep alive theor hopes of topping the group.

James Cameron-Dow (3-14) and Allan Coulter (2-20) bowled well as Carrick scored just 98-8 - CJ van der Walt top scoring with 35.

Obus Pienaar (43*) and Chris Dougherty (39*) eased the Belmont side to the routine win.

They play Waringstown next Thursday with the winners topping the group and guaranteeing a home tie.
